This is probab y their best album since just look around. Sure there were good songs but they were just mising something. Released in september 2003 it was the band s final album of new material on fat wreck chords. Throughout the entire length of the album the band keeps switching back and forth between circle pit anthems and singalong youth crew tunes.

The last few sick of it all albums seemed to be lacking somethimg. Even after more than 15 years sick of it all s life on the ropes finds the band as heavy fast and fun as ever while still allowing plenty of room for some thoughtful lyrics. Although hardcore can be a notoriously fickle and intolerant scene at times i ve always thought sick of it all were a band that showed an element of respect when it comes to opinions that differ somewhat to theirs. Edit release all versions of this release new submission.

The album features guest backing vocals from among others john joseph of cro mags. Whatever that was sick of it all seems to have gotten it back. One of the best hardcore releases od 2003. However with the highs come the lows and there is one part in this album where sick of it all reach a real low point for me.
