I d like to place one or two amps in the closet along with my ps3. Step 1 locate an open stud free space in your wall as close as possible to the area where you want to place your wire through the wall. I found this box and my idea was to mount this on the back side of that same wall then run the power cable and other cables like ethernet and audio through a hole in the wall to the back where i can plug everything in without having a wire mess in the front. Really the only cable you absolutely should not run through a wall is a standard power cable that plugs into an outlet.

I would like to wall mount my tv and have the wall be as clean as possible. Use clean good quality cables and you should not have anything to worry about. By following a few simple steps you can run power from one room to another and economically get all the electrical power you need to the places where you need it. It is perfectly safe to run most cables through a wall.

No cuts tears etc. Most are low voltage cables speaker wires rca interconnects and hdmi cable but i want to run three power cords through there too. These cables will heat up more than most other cables. The room layout and the fact that the tv is very thin.

Now we don t know what the electrical codes are like in your area seriously we don t you have to check for yourself but in most areas you can t just run the power wire through walls.
